The anime was really unfair to Hiyori...
I already mentioned that they made her weaker in the anime.
They also used her as fanservice, when the authors never do!
So in the anime, this exact scene is when Hiyori is in the bath.
An unnecessary change. The anime decided it was better to see her naked than lying on her bed...
Also in the anime she’s never wearing pants, so I didn’t know she liked wearing them. She’s only wearing skirts in the anime since they replaced the scenes where she’s wearing pants.
I kind of understand why anime watchers only think she's useless or not that interesting. They dumbed down her ch
Facts to get to know Noragami better; things you may have missed and such.
It explains why Hiyori can see the Far shore, manga / anime differences, and such.
I really dislike that they made Hiyori weaker in the anime! What's up with that?
She handled the ayakashi all on her own, she's the one that saved Yukine! She fought Father!
Why did the anime take all these out? It makes no sense!
I think if they kiss, Hiyori is going to be the one to initiate it.
(The difference in animation quality between the first season and the second is amazing!)
She always the one to reveal her feelings to Yato.
Also she’s the first to show interest in kissing:
Hiyori has both emotional & physical strength: she's both badass & caring.
She has the mental & emotional strength to help others overcome their difficulties: indeed Yato wouldn't have been able to do half of the things he did if she hadn't been there to support him as he doubts himself easily and lacks confidence to do the things he wants and needs to do. Hiyori helps him over come that:

He was too scared to take on his father until Hiyori gave him the strength too!
However she has the strength to overcome her own difficulties as well: aka she is just as badass as Yato in fights too!
During the battle between Heave
After seeing a family bond with Yato & Yukine, we get to see one with Hiyori & Nora! :D
Chap 86, thanks again to Fast Moon who is the official translator for Noragami.
